Maurits Cornelis Escher was a Dutch graphic artist who made mathematically inspired woodcuts, lithographs, and mezzotints.

Early in his career he drew inspiration from nature, making studies of insects, landscapes, and plants such as lichens, all of which he reused as details in his artworks. He travelled in Italy and Spain, sketching buildings, townscapes and architecture.

One of the works that have influenced me the most are by the Dutch graphic artist M.C.Escher. His three dimensional drawings on a two dimensional plane have been an inspiration to me. I reconstructed his 'dragon' animal body in a tiered clay in various relief plans, I made it and it was a great satisfaction. his 'dragon' animal body in a tiered clay in various relief plans, I made it and it was a great satisfaction.
